1. Abstract
This guide is intended to help customers setup getting started with the DA14535 TINY™ Bluetooth Module.
DA14535 is the latest member in the Renesas Bluetooth® SmartBond TINY™ family, targeting Bluetooth® LE applications where low power consumption, small form factor, low cost is required. DA14535, compared to other TINY™ family members, offers more memory, wider operating temperature range, larger output power and compliant to more up to date Bluetooth® spec v5.3.
2. Prerequisites
- To start the evaluation or project development on Renesas DA14535 product sets, the following tools are being used here however the process is same with other development kit:
- Hardware tools:
Computational workstation (e.g. PC or Laptop)
32-bit or 64-bit processor with 1 GHz processing speed
1 GB RAM
2 GB free disk space
DA14535-00FXDEVKT-P as a Motherboard
DA14535 TINY™ Module 00FXDB-P Package.
USB cable for power supply to the Pro Development kit and for on-board debugging
- Software tools:
Terminal software such as RealTerm, Putty or Tera Term. This document uses Tera Term for its examples
SmartSnippets™ Toolbox or later, which can be installed on Windows.
Hint
When SmartSnippets™ is installed, all the sub-component drivers and software tools needed for DA14535 development are also installed.

Type chrome://bluetooth-internals/#devices into the address field of the Chrome Browser to use the built-in tool (PC with Win10 or MAC book)
