7. Known issues and Workarounds in e2 studio
7.1. overview
In this section, we will provide an overview of the known issues identified in the current e2 studio release, along with corresponding workarounds to help you overcome any challenges you may encounter. We encourage you to review these known issues and corresponding workarounds carefully, as they may impact your experience with the e2 studio and SDK6.
7.2. DA14533 Not Supported with Default J-Link Version in e² studio (April 2025 Release)
7.2.1. Summary:
The April 2025 version of e² studio comes with SEGGER J-Link version V7.96m. This version does not support the DA14533 device.

7.2.2. Details:
Support for DA14533 was added by SEGGER starting from J-Link version V8.28. To use DA14533 in e² studio, you need to update the J-Link files to a newer version.
7.2.3. What You Need To Do:
Download and install a J-Link version V8.28 or later from SEGGER’s website. From the installed folder, copy the following items:
JLinkARM.dll.
The entire Firmwares folder.
Paste and replace these files in the following folder in your e² studio installation: e2studio installation folder > DebugComp
\\.eclipse\com.renesas.platform_1421839936\DebugComp\Dialog\ARM\Segger
