1. Prerequisites

To start building a fully working solution that allows booting from host Renesas microcontroller the following tools are being used:

• Hardware tools:

  • Computational workstation (e.g. PC or Laptop)

    • 32-bit or 64-bit processor with 1 GHz processing speed

    • 1 GB RAM

    • 2 GB free disk space

    • US159-DA14531EVZ BLE Pmod

    • CK-RX65N: Renesas Cloud Kit Based on RX65N MCU or any other Renesas RX microcontroller development kit.

    • USB cable for power supply and for on-board debugging. A micro USB cable is provided with the CK-RX65N kit.

• Software tools:

  • e2 studio 2024-01 which includes support for RX MCU.

  • QE for BLE Tool.

• Bluetooth® LE explorer application
